These are photos taken using my mobile phone in the past few months. The first photo is the MoA eye (if I'm not mistaken with the term) and the second is a rose which I saw on the sidewalk vendor near the office.
Annie, my impromptu tour guide of Dubai is a friendly and very hospitable lady from Davao City, Philippines. Her slim figure and effortless projection in front of the camera makes her versatile enough to also be my model for some of the shots that came to mind during the tour. Though she may not really be a model, I believe that she is photogenic and can hold her own in front of any lens. Simplicity helps her adapt to the poses I ask her to do - and she is patient enough to cooperate the whims needed for the shots. As a final note, I posted this a simple token of appreciation for being good company to me, and bringing me to all the sights I posted about in my Dubai entry. This is also as an addition to my growing online portfolio. Shukran Annie!
This has been a long overdue post. The past few weeks have been nothing short of busy and I end up opting to just rest during the weekends and go offline as much as I can. Anyway, here is my latest entry about my sudden trip to Davao. I had originally planned to go to Davao later during this year for work and vacation. My boss and I had discussed it around June and a few days after we came to know of the company outing and team building planned by our Davao office. Of course I was interested to go but I was unsure if it was going to be considered. Then, to my pleasant surprise, my manager booked me for a round trip flight. However, I had a fail moment - i forgot to recharge my Nikon's battery. I had to go around conserving it and saving its energy. I was not able to take shots during the actual team-building session. In return I tried to select the shots I would take. Good thing full manual mode extends the battery life of the camera. A short prayer before...
I though I had published these photos before but I found out I didn't. These were part of the first photos I took with my Nikon D3000. I've had it for a very long time now and I am very happy using it. But the recent problems I see in the LCD are suggesting that I should save up for a new one - and hopefully buy a new one soon. Anyways, here are photos of Myk and Jas. Colleagues of mine back when I was with DTI-CITEM.
